Currently unemployed (possibly retired depending upon what the future brings), I am not to be confused with the guy who dispenses advice in Breakfast Smoothies. He is much more intelligent.
Too young for Medicare too old for anyone else to care; too rich for Medicaid, too poor to travel; I attempt gardening, hiking, biking, birding, canoeing, kayaking, designing websites, and getting out of bed in the morning.
I don’t own a TV and have not watched regularly since 2006. (I also don’t own a dishwasher or a microwave.) And, I have not read a newspaper since about 2004.
I’ve lived in (from North to South) New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida; moved a lot.
My other website is a much more sophisticated and intellectual gardening site: www.emilycompost.com. (My original website is about compost. Now this. Could there be a pattern emerging?)
So far this is morphing into four or five things: Breakfast Smoothies, (a fictionalized rant about the world), Camino Quest (a fictionalized journal of a hike), Dirt (non-fiction essays about gardening in Florida) and other essays like the following:
I try to add an essay every weekend. We’ll see how it goes.
